Dr. Niss has served as both full-time and adjunct faculty at Broward Community College’s Physical Therapy Assistant Program since 1989. He is an accomplished writer and experienced evidence-based researcher. He is highly proficient at information/data discovery utilizing all of the following research databases: Ovid, TRIP, MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, Cochrane, and ProQuest. To date, Dr. Niss has authored more than 38 different state approved physical and occupational therapy home study CE programs totaling more than 110 total instructional hours.

Since 1993, Dr. Niss has also presented more than 125 live continuing education programs (totaling more than 1000 CE instructional hours). He has presented professional continuing education programs that have been approved by the following professional or regulatory organizations:
